Gen 39:9-12-One day he went into the house to attend to his duties, and none of the household servants was inside.  She caught him by his cloak and said, “Come to bed with me!” But he left his cloak in her hand and ran out of the house.

You can Rebound despite your Circumstances

Have you ever been in a situation where things were going so well, and then someone or something tried to rain on your parade or bring harm to you? You could be doing well in your business, school, and job and there is that one person who just does not want to see you happy or prosper. They try to take as much as they can from you, only caring about themselves.

Joseph was doing very well and attained a position of honor in Potiphar’s house. Clearly, the Lord was blessing everything he touched. He had full responsibility in his boss’s. house. One day he went into the house to attend his duties, and none of the household servants was inside. Undoubtedly, Mrs. Potiphar wanted more and did not care about her current marriage. When Joseph refused, he was unjustly thrown into prison for a crime he did not commit.

How would you feel if someone unjustly accused you of something that you did not do?

Moreover, Joseph gives us insight as to how to handle change in our lives

I.    Joseph was a man of faith-Hebrews 11:22-Joseph clearly shows us that his faith was strong in good and bad times.

II.    Spiritually Sensitive- Gen 37:2 Above all, Joseph represented Israel as a people who struggled with God and overcame as a source of blessing to the people.

III.    Forgiving-Gen 50:19-21 Despite Joseph circumstances he unquestionably forgave those who tried to rain on his parade

IV.    Wise-Gen 41:38-49 Because of his wisdom Joseph was able to Bounce back
